Annual General Meeting – 12 August 2023
The Annual General Meeting of Retina South Africa will take place on Saturday, 12th August at 10h30 for 11 am. This will be a hybrid meeting (both physical, virtual via Zoom and live streaming on Facebook).
The meeting is being hosted by Bayer South Africa at their premises, 27 Wrench Road, Isando.
There will be 3 outstanding speakers:
- Professor John Flannery – UCLA, Berkeley, who will update us on the latest research into retinal degeneration;
- Motivational speaker Alani Ferreira our Paralympic swimmer
- Elizabeth Louw from Guide Dogs who will talk about the independence that mobility training gives you.
For those unable to attend, a zoom link will be provided. Pre-registration for both physical and zoom is essential.
Limited transport will be arranged from St Johns Hospital; Tembisa Hospital and Daveyton Main Clinic. Booking is essential for 1 visually impaired member and 1 sighed guide only.
Only attendees who have booked will be admitted to the venue.
