Congratulations to the Visually Impaired Matric Class of 2024!!!
The South African National Council for the Blind (SANCB) in a press release congratulated the visually impaired class of 2024 for their marvelous matric results. Retina South Africa adds their voice to this congratulations, and we wish all our members who completed their matric in2024 the very best for their future.

Matric results for blind schools in South Africa:
- Athlone School for the Blind: 10 learners, 3 Bachelor passes, 1 Diploma, 2 Certificates, 3 SNE and 1 Fail.
- Bartimea School for the Deaf and Blind: 12 learners, 5 Bachelor passes, 4 Diplomas, 2 Certificates and 1 fail.
- Christiana School: 4 learners, 1 Bachelor pass, 2 Diplomas, 1 Certificate.
- Efata School: 6 learners, 5 Bachelor passes, 1 Diploma.
- Filadelfia School: 19 learners; 7 Bachelor passes, 8 Diplomas, 1 Certificate and 3 fail.
- Khanyisa School: 8 learners; 4 Bachelor passes and 4 Diplomas.
- Mason Lincoln School: 4 learners; 2 Diplomas and 2 Certificate.
- Open Air School: 17 learners; 12 Bachelor passes and 5 Diplomas.
- Pioneer School: 6 learners; 2 Bachelor passes and 4 Diplomas.
- Prinshof School: 26 learners; 22 Bachelor passes and 4 Diplomas.
- Rivoni School: 13 learners: 9 Bachelor passes, 3 Diplomas, and 1 Certificate.
- Setotolwane School: 22 learners: 12 Bachelor passes, 4 Diplomas, and 6 Certificates.
