Dis-Chem Swing for Sight 2022
Vision is the most precious of our senses and over 80% of all sensory input comes from sight. It is the sense that most people fear losing. Over 800 000 South Africans lose more and more vision every day due to retinal conditions.
There are 3 main groups of retinal vision loss:
• Age Related Macular Degeneration- the largest cause of blindness in Caucasians over the age of 60
• Diabetic vision loss – the silent thief that threatens the vision of an estimated 600 000 South Africans
• Genetic retinal conditions that affect 1 in 3000 people in our population and for whom there are at present no treatments available.
Retina South Africa have teamed up with the Dis-Chem Foundation for this meaningful corporate fundraising golf event, for more information please click on the link below https://retinasa.org.za/get-involved/swing-for-sight/
