Our Paralympic heroes Ilsa Hayes and Alani Ferreira
Congratulations to Alani Ferreira (Swimming) and Ilse Cartens nee Hayes who represented South Africa at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
Ilse won 2 Silver medals (2nd place) in the 100m and 400m track events.
Unfortunately Alani did not manage a podium finish this year but look out for her at the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo. This was Alani’s first Paralympics and we hope to see her representing our country for many years to come.
