Thank you Dis-Chem Pharmacies for once again sponsoring the 2025 Ride for Sight.- a remarkable unbroken partnership of 17 years.  Under the Direction of Linsay Engelbrecht we saw a record post covid entry of 3138 entries with an amazing 46 Para cyclists taking part. Linsay is a Para-Tri Athlete who brought her cycling and marketing skills together to lead a huge team of volunteers, cyclists and sponsors to stage one of the most respected road cycling events in South Africa. CycleLab once again sponsored a superb Orbea Road Bike as the donation draw prize and a record breaking R49 850.00 was raised from donations from the cyclists. This amount will be matched by the Dis- Chem Foundation and we thank them for their generosity. The Pezulu Raffle raised a further R15 000.00.

The 36th annual Dis-Chem Ride for Sight was a resounding success, with 3,138 cyclists taking part – our largest turnout since COVID! A proud milestone was the inclusion of 46 para-cyclists, solidifying our reputation as South Africa’s most inclusive cycling event. Thanks to incredible support, we continue to grow year after year, raising nearly R12 million over 35 years for Retina South Africa’s vital projects. With your help, we’re driving real change in the lives of visually impaired individuals and para-athletes nationwide.
