Disability Parking Disk
The Department of Transport recently changed the National Transport Act to make it possible for the implementation of a National Disability Parking Disk. Previously every local authority could issue their own parking disks which all looked different to each other. This caused confusion with other authorities and persons with active disability parking disks were fined by other local authorities who did not recognise their disability parking disks.
The Department has also drafted regulations which governs the process of applying for and granting disks. Please click here to review the draft regulations.
