World Patient Safety Day
Although Every person with low vision has specific, individual needs, accessibility tools are essential for all to ensure safety and assist with productivity and an improved quality of life.
As the needs are so varied it is essential to consult a team of professionals with knowledge about low vision rehabilitation.
We are a patient-led NPO offering advice and referrals to individuals with retinal vision loss, helping them navigate successfully in a sighted world.
We will assess your situation and needs and refer you to the correct professionals who are trained to assist you. These include Low Vision Optometrists, Low Vision Occupational Therapists, Orientation and Mobility Specialist, assistive technology providers, audio book providers and many others.
Please note that under the Employment Equity Act and the Constitution of South Africa, the rights of people with disabilities are protected.
